Bachelor Thesis Project.

The project is located in complex urban environment. It is surrounded by a mix of historic and 20th century architecture and is facing a large busy street.
In order to form a coherent frontage, the designed building is adjoining to the existing office building on the east side of the plot.

A restaurant and conference room are located behind a glass façade representing the public character, while the façade of the kitchen is more covered.

The façade of the ground floor and east side staircase is receded due to the build up line that cannot be crossed stated in the planning regulations, while the upper part of the façade matches the line of the frontage of the adjoined buildng.

Windows in the façade of the upper floor are placed at an angle to isolate the guest from a busy street below and provide a focus on an attractive view of the old part of the city.
